Rider Coach Preparation (RCP) Course – Call for Applications
The South Carolina Rider Education Program, administered through the South Carolina Technical College System, hosts Rider Coach Preparation (RCP) courses for individuals interested in becoming motorcycle riding instructors.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive certification through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). Participants must attend all scheduled events.
The 2023 RCP course schedule is TBD.
Applicants for the RCP course must submit the information listed below.
Completed RCP Candidate Application
Three-Year Driving Record (available through the Department of Motor Vehicles)
Copy of Driver's License

Course tuition for South Carolina residents is $350 (includes all course materials).
The course fee for non-SC residents is $600 (includes all course materials).
Lodging, travel and food costs are not included and are the responsibility of the candidate.
Rider Coach candidates may be interviewed and/or subject to an on-cycle riding evaluation prior to final acceptance to the course.
